The registration procedure allows employees to be sent to Switzerland for work assignments during a limited period of 90 days in a flexible and unbureaucratic manner.
More than 90 days in a calendar year
If you plan to work in Switzerland for a longer period of time, which can no longer be handled via the registration procedure, you must apply for a work permit.
Local employment in Switzerland
If the work in Switzerland is not to be based on a assignment, a cross-border commuter permit or a local employment (Swiss employment contract) may be preferable.
